Things have been really busy this month. We're getting down to the wire, less than three weeks to go now. I've never been busier at work and Dave... is busy kicking ass at NHL 08. :)
We'll be in Winnipeg the entire week before the wedding, thought I'm starting to wonder if we shouldn't be there the week before as well. There are so many little things to do and the time will fly by.
We've had Maureen with us since last Sunday, as she was having laser eye surgery. The surgery went well but she's having a slight flap complication so she goes to have that fixed tomorrow. We expect her to go back to Winnipeg on Thursday night. Then Dave and I will enjoy one more week at home before the wedding.
In Bomber news, they're, well, bombing. 0-4 to start the season - ouch. We're really hoping to see an upswing soon!
By the way, if you want to come to the August 8 game with us, tickets will be available via our web site soon. I'd bug Dave to do that today, but Maureen made pie today and if you know Dave, you'll easily be able to tell which will get higher priority :)

Today marked the first day of the 2008 Calgary Stampede. What does this mean for us? Nothing really. A yummy pancake breakfast tomorrow morning with free access to the Stampede all day. That could be fun, it's supposed to be really nice. Tuesday I'll be working at the WestJet booth. Not totally sure doing what, but I did it last year too and it was a lot of fun.
Dave's quite in his element now that the CFL has restarted. Unfortunately, Winnipeg lost last week and it's not looking good against Montreal (1:14 left in the third quarter). Ohh!! Wait! It just got picked off!! TOUCHDOWN!! Way to go Bombers! Dave is very happy. And yes, all of this happened as I was writing this post. Yeehaw!!
Well that seems like a nice way to leave the post. Go Bombers!

Given that we're down to 45 days to go, you'd think we'd be updated this a little more. Hmm. I blame it on the fact that I was in Ontario all last week and wasn't on the computer much.
Last week I went to Toronto to present at Search Engine Strategies. It went very well though I think I crammed too much content into a short time period. I will dedicate a little more time and effort to it on my professional blog, www.lyndseo.com/blog.
I also had my Ontario shower on Friday evening which was a TON of fun. There were so many people there, it truly touched my heart. Some people I hadn't seen in years. It was really great to reconnect. I spent the weekend with the Williams/Rice gang and, as always, had a fabulous time. Chuck and I went to see Get Smart on Saturday night. It definitely had its funny moments, but won't win any Oscars.
Hard to believe it's already Wednesday this week. I was hoping to use the long weekend for working on wedding details, but I am covering for two other people on holidays this week so I imagine I'll be racking up a lot of overtime.
Dave is really excited since the CFL regular season kicks off this week. We are contemplating going to the Stampeders' home opener against the BC Lions. Depends if the weather holds out - mother nature isn't exactly reliable here in the Heart of the New West. I think Dave's even more excited about the first Bomber game we'll get to go to - on July 11 against BC again.
It definitely won't be a boring summer, no doubt about that!

I had to pick up Dave last night from the airport at 7, so I decided to go to work late and stay there until it was time to pick him up. By time we got home (after stopping for supper) it was 9pm. We watched a movie (The Other Boleyn Girl) and promptly went to bed. NOTE: Dave would like me to mention that he spent a good 30 minutes giving me a foot rub during the movie. Thanks honey :)
Today I went to donate blood. When I got home, I had a horrible dizzy spell in the elevator. I actually had to call Dave to help me from the elevator to the apartment. After sleeping for 4 hours and having something to eat, I'm finally feeling better but still not 100%. Right now I'm chugging some gatorade trying to get up enough strength to pack for my week in Ontario.
Tomorrow morning I hop on a flight to Hamilton. Monday I head to Toronto. I'm having lunch at Wayne Gretzky's with one of our vendors, followed by meetings. I'll have dinner with Dave's cousins Chuck and Steve. Tuesday I have an 8am breakfast with Google, and then I'm at Search Engine Strategies Toronto conference at the convention centre. I'm speaking on Wednesday afternoon. After that, I'll go back to St. Catharines for two days off! Yeah!
Friday evening is my Ontario shower. Sounds like there will be a good turnout, I'm excited. Finally, Sunday I'll come back to Calgary.
So, Dave spent this past week in Winnipeg, I'm spending this week in Ontario. We've had a whopping one day together. We'll have to make up for lost time when I get back, but with only EIGHT WEEKS to go until the wedding, my free time with probably be spent working on allll the little details.
Oh and HEY! We've got a LOT of people who still need to RSVP.... the deadline is July 1, but don't forget that you can RSVP online anytime :)

Two months to go! That's 61 days. But who's counting?
Some milestones coming up. Most notably, all unbooked rooms under our group rate will be released back into inventory.
That means to get the $139/night rate you MUST book today! Just call the
Inn at the Forks at 1-877-377-4100.
The other milestone is the RSVP deadline - July 1. We sent out the invitations quite early for our out of town guests, and many of you (in town as well) have responded by either mailing in your RSVP card or by using our Online RSVP Tool. But there are many of you whom we haven't heard from... please don't forget to RSVP as soon as you can!
Dave and I were in Winnipeg this weekend. In fact, he'll be in Winnipeg all week. Which means I'm a bachelorette again :) I have no big plans. Really just to get ready for my trip to Toronto next week. Yes, Dave is in Winnipeg all this week and I'm in Toronto all next week. How romantic!
Anyhow, we had another productive wedding weekend. Good thing - time is going FAST. We may be in Winnipeg only one more weekend before we fly in for the wedding. This weekend we got Dave's suit, his wedding band, and we booked our spa appointments at the Forks.
